Four people, horse injured after Amish buggy accident in Isabella County

ROLLAND TOWNSHIP (WJRT) - (03/31/16) - Four people were hurt after a vehicle struck an Amish Buggy early Thursday morning in Isabella County.

It happened around 1 a.m. near South Rolland Road in Rolland Township.

The driver, 61-year-old Jonathan Riehle of the Blanchard area, was traveling south on Rolland Road when he hit the Amish buggy.

Two adults and two small children were hurt. The children, ages 3 and 5, were taken to the hospital. The 3-year-old male sustained a possible internal head injury. It is unclear what injuries the 5-year-old girl had.

The horse's leg and head were hurt. It was caught and taken back to the Amish farm.
