FLINT (WJRT) - (03/25/16) - Several groups are asking a federal judge to order the city and state to deliver bottled water directly to homes on the Flint Water System.
In their filing, the ACLU, Concerned Pastors and several individuals say too many people don't have access to cars or public transportation.
The also say many people are physically unable to carry cases of water back to their homes.
"Having a system of home delivery similar to mail delivery is the most effective way of ensuring that no Flint resident has to go without safe water right now,” said Brooke Tucker, of the Michigan ACLU.
Aside from the home delivery, the suit calls for professionals to inspect water filters in homes to make sure they are properly installed.
