Police were called to an early morning shooting in Saginaw.

SAGINAW, Mich. (WJRT) - A 6-month-old child is among two people shot inside a Saginaw residence early Tuesday.

Michigan State Police say suspects fired at a residence in the 1400 block of Park Street around 2 a.m. Bullets hit an adult man and the young child, who were not identified.

Both victims were transported to an area hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries. Their conditions were not available Tuesday morning.

Investigators did not release any information on suspects or a motive for the incident Tuesday morning. The Saginaw Major Crimes Unit, which includes Saginaw Police Department officers and Michigan State Police troopers, will continue investigating.
