$11,000 reward offered in Family Dollar shooting, robbery on New Year's Eve

SAGINAW, Mich. (WJRT) - A reward of up to $11,000 is available for information leading to the suspect who shot a Family Dollar employee and robbed the store Friday night.

The crime happened around 9 p.m. on New Year's Eve at the Family Dollar in the 3000 block of Genesee Avenue near Hess Street in Saginaw.

Michigan State Police say the suspect shot the 18-year old female employee in the face and then took off with an unknown amount of money. The victim was hospitalized in critical condition Monday.

Investigators were looking person of interest, who was captured on surveillance cameras. Anyone with information on the crime or the suspect's identity should call Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-422-JAIL.

Family Dollar is offering up to $10,000 for information leading to the suspect while Crime Stoppers is offering an additional reward of up to $1,000.
