VASSAR TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WJRT) - A 24-year-old woman died and two men were injured after a pickup truck crashed on icy roads in Tuscola County early Sunday.

Investigators believe the driver may have been intoxicated when the crash happened.

The Tuscola County Sheriff's Office says the crash was reported around 2:40 a.m. Sunday on M-15 just north of Swaffer Road in Vassar Township.

A 30-year-old man from Millington was driving a 1994 GMC Sierra pickup truck north on M-15 when he lost control on the icy roadway. The truck was the only vehicle involved in the crash.

A 24-year-old woman from Howell was partially thrown out of the truck after the impact and she died of her injuries. A 24-year-old man from Millington, who was riding as a passenger, suffered minor injuries.

Police arrested the 30-year-old driver on a charge of operating while intoxicated. His name was not released Monday morning because he hadn't appeared in court for arraignment.
