#22 Michigan State's hot three point shooting takes down Louisville, 73-64

East Lansing, Mich. (WJRT) - It’s the holiday time right, so we all know who’s bringing what to Christmas dinner well The Spartans brought threes 10 of them.

The Spartans shot a season-best 55% from behind-the-arc and literally shot the Cardinals out the gym in the Big Ten/ACC Challenge, 73-64.

Michigan State junior Malik Hall, who shot 3-3 from deep, said "I got to give credit to the fans for the most part. Shots started falling and as soon as they got involved everybody felt easier."

But with all the good shooting came the bad turnovers.

Spartans gave away the ball 19 times and maybe smaller shoe sizes could help out Michigan State.

"You step-out of bounds four times, I don't know," head coach Tom Izzo said jokingly. "I'm going to put one of those dog fences around the court so when they step-out of bounds they get zapped. But, then I'd get sued for that so I can't do that."

"Because if we can do this, just think of what we can if we quit turning the damn ball over."

The Spartans defense was also really good, they shutdown the Cardinals leading score Noah Locke (11.1points per game) to zero points tonight and Izzo credited freshman Max Christie defensive effort.
