Beal City hugs each other after state championship lose to Hudson, 14-7

We all love a comeback story, there was none better than that of Beal City.

The Aggies lost in the state finals in 2019, ever since then they have been working to get back to field.

This year it happened.

Beal City (12-1) returned to Detroit to take on undefeated Hudson (13-0).

The first drive started off with a bang, 56 yard touchdown pass from Beal City's Hunter Miles to Carter Fussman.

That would be the only touchdown the Aggies would score, as they lost to Hudson 14-7.

But, the toughness of the Aggies could not be denied in a game where many of players with playing through injuries.

"You saw it Hunter Miles is Hunter Miles," said Beal City head coach Brad Gross, after Miles returned from a leg injury in the 4th quarter. "He's a warrior ankle, ribs and everything else."

"We got a lot of guys dinged up. I'm super proud of these guys. [Hudson] just made more plays than we did today."
